You read about it everywhere, you hear people talking about making ample passive income from it, and how it will transform civilization, but what is it doing for your organization?

A recent study in early 2026 found that only 7-10% of teachers were trained to utilize AI as a benefit to them and students, around another 30-40% were given informal instructions on how they possibly could utilize AI in their profession.
Policies like these, and a lack of training, have plagued cultures for as long as business has lived. AI cannot fix these shortfalls, it is not designed to do that!
The more clearly defined the vision and role where you want to utilize AI, the greater chance of success. AI gets very interesting in that the success with it is not linear, but often parabolic.
That is the big secret: most organizations have weak or non-existent culture and vision. This causes AI implementation, as well as more, to fail in the. organization. Clear vision and strong culture will get you to AI Success!
Here are some action steps to start creating an environment in which AI, and your staff, can thrive:
- Choose a small area or item that is sustainable to improve, or augment.
- Clearly layout what the end goal is, and what success looks like (this includes productivity, budget, ongoing maintenance time, etc).
- Develop a rubric with milestones to ensure your endeavor stays on the right track. The destination is more important than the time it takes to get there.
- Once the project is finished gather all the parties involved and perform an after action review with a focus on improvements for future projects.
Often small wins can have the biggest impact. So be sure to ask around your organization to find low hanging fruit where AI is known to succeed, and where current KPIs are missing their mark due to repeatability, dependability, or staffing issues (like odd hours). Some areas where AI is proven to have success include:
- Follow-up on quotes, inquiries, etc
- QA on products, as it can inspect writings/proposals, perform visual inspection, and read/interpret instrumentation or testing results.
- Receptionist or Chatbots that run off your website info and KBs. This allows updates to your website to feed into other streams in real-time.
- Initial research and organization of data.
- And many more specialized areas – contact us if there is an area you are curious about.
There is plenty of room and opportunity in organizations for your staff to utilize and thrive with the use of AI, but currently a ‘throw it at the wall and see what sticks’ approach is a sure path to waste and frustration.
