Four Ways to Work With Us

The right engagement depends on your team size, your IT maturity, and where you are on your risk-management journey. You can start anywhere on this spectrum — and move between them as your organization grows.

STEP 01

Project & Ad-Hoc

One-off work

A single scoped engagement billed flat or time-and-materials. Network refresh, Microsoft 365 migration, security assessment, new-office buildout, or low-voltage cabling. No contract required.

Best for

One-time initiatives; capital projects; organizations without in-house IT wanting to test a partnership.

STEP 02

Block-Time Hourly

Prepaid retainer

Prepaid blocks of technician hours drawn down as you use them. Hours never expire. Volume discounts on 25+ hour blocks. Priority response above pure ad-hoc.

Best for

Organizations needing occasional expert help; seasonal spikes; clients not yet ready for a monthly plan.

STEP 03

Co-Managed IT

Partner with your team

We augment your in-house IT person or team — providing cybersecurity, after-hours coverage, projects, tier-2/3 escalation, or 24/7 monitoring while your team handles the day-to-day.

Best for

Schools, nonprofits, and mid-market businesses with an existing IT lead who needs backup, tools, and specialty depth.

STEP 04

Fully Managed

Monthly flat-rate plans

Complete outsourced IT department. Helpdesk, patching, monitoring, MFA, security awareness training, cloud backup, and Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace administration — all included per user.

Best for

Businesses without in-house IT; leaders who want a predictable monthly cost and one Ohio team accountable for everything.

How We're Different From a Traditional MSP

How to Get Started

Three steps. Nothing scary. You can bail at any point.

01

Free Strategy Call

Book a 30-minute call. We’ll ask about your team size, current IT setup, biggest headaches, and what success looks like. No PowerPoint pitch, no obligation.

02

Environment Review

If it makes sense to keep going, we do a light-touch review of your network, endpoints, cloud tenants, and any security gaps. You get a written summary — regardless of whether you hire us.

03

Right-Sized Proposal

We recommend the smallest engagement that solves your actual problem. Sometimes that’s one project. Sometimes it’s a monthly plan. You decide.

Frequently Asked Questions

The questions Ohio leaders ask us before signing up. If yours isn’t here, just call.

Do I have to sign a long-term contract?

No. Project work is per-quote with no contract required. Block-time is prepaid and hours never expire. Managed plans are month-to-month after an initial 30-day onboarding period. We earn your business every month.

Can I move between engagement models later?

Yes — that’s the point. Many of our clients start with a single project or a block-time retainer, then move up to a managed plan once they see how we work. Others stay on block-time indefinitely. There’s no penalty for moving between tiers.

How is block-time hourly different than a managed plan?

Block-time is reactive — you have a bucket of prepaid hours and pull from them when you need help. A managed plan is proactive — we’re monitoring, patching, and hardening your environment 24/7 whether or not you call. Managed plans usually cost less than block-time once your ticket volume exceeds a few incidents per month.

What does co-managed IT actually mean?

You have an internal IT person (or small team). We supplement them with things they can’t or shouldn’t have to do alone — after-hours coverage, cybersecurity monitoring, tier-2/3 escalation, project work, procurement, or specialty depth like compliance and vCIO. Your IT lead stays in charge; we’re their backup.

How does pricing work for schools?

Schools have their own pricing track. We work within your E-Rate cycle where applicable, quote in a format your business office can consume, and schedule on-site work around the academic calendar. Charter, public, and religious schools across Ohio are all welcome.

How does pricing work for nonprofits?

Qualifying 501(c)(3) organizations get reduced managed-plan rates. We help you take full advantage of TechSoup licensing and nonprofit Microsoft 365 / Google Workspace tenants. Notable nonprofit clients include Jersey Baptist Church and the YMCA.

Do you support Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, or both?

Both — and we’ll tell you which one makes more sense for your environment. We’re not a Microsoft-only shop. Many of our nonprofit and school clients run Google Workspace; many of our commercial clients run Microsoft 365. A few run both.

What areas of Ohio do you serve?

Central Ohio (Columbus, Westerville, Hilliard, Delaware, Newark, Granville, New Albany, and the surrounding Franklin County suburbs) and Northeast Ohio (Cleveland, Lakewood, Westlake, Avon, Bay Village, and the Westshore). Remote support is available statewide.

Not Sure Which Plan Fits?

That’s what the free strategy call is for. Thirty minutes. No PowerPoint pitch. Just real answers about your environment, your risks, and your options.
