Well, so moving on, there was a very interesting piece of news that emerged. Well, you know, anymore out of the Trump White House, there is such a fast pace of information and such an unbelievable amount of of information that you just almost can’t keep track of it all, right? Right.

Yeah. So a major security story came up though. The messaging app that was being used by Hegseth and Department of Defense, it was called TeleMessage.

And it’s actually an encrypted messaging app that government officials use typically. It is a branch off a signal, but it’s been altered. There’s a group out of Israel that alters these.

apps. And one of the big things is that, you know, you can do different things with it. Mainly you can archive messages.

You can’t do in the signal app. Uh, you can archive group chats in this one. So one of the big breaches were these hackers were able to access some of these archived messages and they were able to access the group chats.

And basically the app has to suspend all these services while they’re trying to figure out what they did. Yeah. Yeah.

I mean, yeah, the telemessage is a single clone and it is designed to help officials comply with records of retention laws by archiving encrypted chats. But this is a breach highlights that the risk of modifying secure apps for compliance archive data becomes a target for hackers.
